Michael Jacobides is a professor at the London Business School and holds the Sir Donald Gordon Chair of Entrepreneur Ship and Innovation. He has held visiting appointments at many well-known universities, including Harvard University, Bocconi University, and Singapore Management University. His research focuses on industry evolution, the value of migration, new business models, and structural change in firms, among other topics. Jacobides is also a famous author and has published in academic journals such as the Financial Times and the Harvard Business Review. He has worked on strategy, leadership and executive development with many international companies, including Santander, Credit Suisse, Airbus, Lufthansa, Vodafone, McKinsey, and Roche. Jacobides has also earned the Sloan Foundation Award for the best industry study.
